The members are dedicated to empowering all attorneys and creating a positive  and supportive working environment.

Employee Resource Groups

Duane Morris established its first affinity group in 2016 and has since included additional groups to further create a positive, supportive and inclusive culture for our colleagues. All of our lawyers and staff are able to participate in high quality educational programming and professional development opportunities, including through voluntary participation in our employee resource group initiatives. For example, our staff groups and attorney groups (Asian Americans, Black/African Americans, Foreign Born, Hispanic/Latinos, DM Pride (LGBTQ) and People with Disabilities and Neurodiversity) are voluntary and open to all our colleagues and help build a sense of community and belonging, foster mentoring relationships, create client development opportunities and host speakers and events throughout the year. For more information about the Employee Resource Groups, please contact Joseph K. West or Umica A. Anderson-Howard.

The Power of Materialization in Black Media in Honor of Black History Month

It has been said that journalism is the first draft of history. The lens through which people of color are viewed has always been shaped by the words and images portrayed in the media. In a celebration of Black History Month, we are reminded of the power to materialize and create our history every day. Duane Morris Partner and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Joseph K. West will be joined by Khadijah Sharif-Drinkard for an inspiring discussion on her journey from growing up in Harlem, attending Columbia University and Fordham Law School, to leading and closing deals at major networks that introduced new Black and diverse stories that better reflect our experiences and histories.
